Donation Policy – Sober ASF / Hikoi for Hope

Thank you for supporting our mission to help people break free from addiction and reclaim their lives through healing, community, and purpose. 

Legal Status

We operate as a social enterprise with a strong charitable purpose, but we are not currently registered as a charity with Charities Services or as an IRD-approved donee organisation.

This means:

• Donations are not tax-deductible at this time.

• We are working toward official charitable status to allow tax credits for future donations. 

What Your Donation Supports Your donation directly helps fund: • Community outreach and sober living events • Support for people in recovery (e.g. food, transport, sober meetups)

• Educational content, clothing, and resources for addiction recovery 

• Development of nature-based healing programs under Hikoi for Hope 

Transparency and Trust 

We are committed to transparency and will:

• Provide regular updates on how donations are used

• Ensure all funds are used ethically and in line with our recovery mission
